1. Where We Ship

We deliver African art to collectors worldwide. Whether you're in Europe, North America, Asia, or anywhere in between, we'll bring your chosen piece safely to you.

International Shipping

We ship to all countries and regions via DHL Express. Only destinations subject to international sanctions (such as North Korea) are excluded.

Domestic Shipping

All orders delivered within Namibia ship at no cost.

2. Shipping Methods & Timelines

We use two shipping methods depending on the size of the artwork. For most pieces, air freight via DHL is calculated automatically at checkout. For larger works, such as sizable sculptures or furniture-scale pieces, we arrange sea freight with a personalised quote.

Air Freight, DHL (Most Orders)

  • Processing time: 5–7 business days

  • Cost: Automatically calculated at checkout based on volumetric weight and destination zone

  • Selection: Automatic, applied to all standard-size items

  • Tracking: Full DHL tracking number provided after dispatch

Sea Freight (Large Items Only)

  • Timeline: 30–60 days

  • Cost: Custom quote, contact us for pricing

  • Applies to: Large items only, indicated on the product page

  • Sea freight is not available for smaller items.

Ordering Multiple Pieces?

If you're considering purchasing multiple artworks, we encourage you to reach out to us before checkout. We can often arrange more favourable shipping rates when items are combined into a single shipment.

3. Shipping Costs

For air freight shipments, the cost is calculated automatically at checkout based on the volumetric weight of your items and the destination zone. Because every artwork has unique dimensions and packaging requirements, costs vary from piece to piece.

As a dedicated DHL account holder, we benefit from preferential rates, savings we pass on to our collectors, keeping shipping costs as low as possible.

Sea Freight, Custom Quotes

For larger items that require sea freight, the product description will indicate this. Simply contact us and we'll arrange a personalised shipping quote for you.

4. Customs, Duties & Taxes

Import duties, VAT, and customs fees are determined by your country's regulations and are the responsibility of the buyer upon delivery. These charges vary by destination and are not included in the purchase price or shipping cost.

Documentation We Provide

Every international shipment includes a detailed invoice and the mandatory artwork export form required by Namibian authorities for all art leaving the country. This ensures your piece clears customs smoothly.

5. Packaging, Insurance & Safe Arrival

We take the protection of your artwork seriously. Every piece is carefully documented with detailed photographs before shipping and packaged to DHL's professional standards using robust, art-appropriate materials.

Standard Coverage

All shipments include DHL's default coverage for total loss at no additional cost.

Enhanced Insurance

Additional coverage is available at 3% of the item's value. Simply request this before we ship your order.

Our recommendation: For valuable or fragile pieces, we suggest opting for enhanced insurance for complete peace of mind throughout the journey.

6. Tracking & Delivery

Once your artwork is packaged and dispatched, we send you a DHL tracking number so you can follow your piece every step of the way, from Swakopmund to your doorstep.

  • Order confirmed — Your order is received and we begin preparing your artwork for shipping.

  • Carefully packaged — Each piece is photographed, documented, and securely packaged to DHL standards.

  • Tracking number sent — You receive your DHL tracking number to follow your shipment in real time.

  • Delivered to you — Your artwork arrives at your doorstep, ready to bring African artistry into your space.

7. Returns & Cancellations

As each artwork in our collection is a unique piece of authentic African art, we do not offer returns. We encourage collectors to explore our detailed product descriptions, photographs, and cultural context to feel confident in their selection.

If you need to cancel an order before it has been shipped, please contact us as soon as possible and we will do our best to accommodate your request.

DHL is the most reliable international carrier operating in Namibia. As a dedicated DHL account holder, we also benefit from preferential rates that help us keep your shipping costs as low as possible, while ensuring every piece is tracked and delivered with care.

What happens if my artwork arrives damaged?

We photograph every item before shipping and use professional-grade packaging. In the unlikely event of damage, you can file a claim directly with DHL. Standard shipments include default coverage for total loss. For broader protection, we recommend adding enhanced insurance (3% of item value) before dispatch.

Will I have to pay customs duties or taxes?

Import duties, VAT, and customs fees depend on your country's regulations and are the responsibility of the buyer. We include all necessary documentation, including the Namibian artwork export form, to help your shipment pass through customs smoothly.
